Château de Terrefort Lescalle 2023

Château de Terrefort Lescalle is a small (~7‑ha) family‑property based in the Bordeaux appellation, located in Macau, just metres from Haut‑Médoc and very close to Margaux. Vines are planted on “palus” soil, sandy clay alluvial terraces along the river. The vineyard is managed sustainably. Fruit is destemmed, fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks, with no oak or minimal oak use on some labels. Bright but structured, this Bordeaux blend (80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon) offers fresh red and dark berry fruit, black cherry and plum; with graphite and a touch of river‑stone minerality. Medium-bodied with smooth tannins, lively acidity, and a savoury edge. Finishes balanced, clean, and food‑friendly.
